Hi, I’m Mitch Waxman

You miss every shot if you don’t show up to take it.
I’m always there, camera in hand, capturing the good, the bad, and the ugly, because it all tells a bigger story.
I’m an artist, photographer, and historian blogger formerly based in New York City, but I’ve recently relocated to Pittsburgh. I’m seeking new work opportunities and adventures.
Please check out my photo portfolio here at waxmanstudio, or visit Newtown Pentacle to see what I'm currently pointing the camera at, or see why 9.2 million people have viewed my more than 100,000 photos at Flickr.
I'm known for an extensive knowledge of NYC's history, particularly its industrial and maritime past, and for both engaging and insightful writing about the city's past, present, and future as well as colorful and sharp photos. I’m currently exploring Pittsburgh with the same zeal, camera in hand.
So tell me, where should I go next?
